BE THE CHANGE NJ

DREAM BIG is a women's leadership initiative developed and implemented by Be The Change NJ. The program is built for young women ages 10 to 15 who receive services at the Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless in Elizabeth, NJ. This started with about 15 girls and a 12 week mentoring/educational program designed to encourage self-esteem, self efficacy, and positive health outcomes.

 

Although, Dream Big was only meant to last 12 weeks, it has been continued because of its success. Not only will it continue with the young women at the Elizabeth Coalition, but it will also be implemented with 8th graders in the Hillside School District.
